Maybe a good alternative would be to park it in the ghetto with the keys in
it?

(Glad you managed to fix it though, and good thing you smelled the coolant
first!)...

Guys if you own a TR you need to replace the 2 hoses that under the coolant
recover tank.

There are not that hard to do.

My left hose developed a slight leak this weekend on my return trip in Ala.

The car never got hot (200) 

I smelled the coolant first.

I did the repair in the parking lot of a Autozone.

Luckily I had a good set of tools with me and I am very familiar with the
cooling system of the TR.

 The tools that come with the car are bad you should buy a set of metrics
from Sears.

Bottom line is that if you have over 10 years on those hoses change them
now.

Before they leave you stranded some where.

Next week I will be R&R the other hose.
