In your case Officer Fuzz was likely there the whole time, just waiting to see how fast you were going to go or if you were a possible DUI etc. . The other guy was so intent on his fun that he was not aware of the cops until they radioed ahead. So the roads had to be full of visual obstructions or else he just wasn't paying attention. Easy for me to say since I wasn't there!

There are still lots of places in this country where you can safely drive those cars as intended without paying the highway tax. Unfortunately Long Island ain't one. Valentines, scanners etc. are adjuncts. Rule One of happy motoring: if you can't see them, the cops are there. Same as guns; for experienced shooters, guns are always loaded until they have personally verified them as empty.

Ask cLyDe about SA. Enough thread highjacking - if you want a couple paragraphs of ticket avoidance stuff write me offline. ken

Guys,

This week, there have been 2 cases of speeders getting nailed for not
checking their six properly....myself, and this guy down in Georgia with his
Ferrari and Lamborghini.

I got stopped late at night two days ago on the Long Island Expressway doing
85 in a *45* (ouch! but for a second or two that could have been a 100 in a
45). The stop came a few miles after the initial clocking, and I never even
suspected it until I was slowing down on an exit ramp and saw the lights
come on behind me all of a sudden....eerie!

I figured it out after wondering where the hell the cop came from as there
are absolutely no hiding spots....and when I saw the ticket I realized he
most likely was in my six the whole time after I merged onto the highway. I
most likely aggravated his behavior by merging aggressively (like an
idiot!). It also hurts that a Goat was slain by a Charger....

Here is the other story:

"Me and my best friend both found out today that Georgia State Patrol does
not fcuk around and will arrest you for speeding. I was in the Ferrari and
he was driving my Lambo. Apparently we had a hoard of GSP trying to catch up
to us without us knowing and one of them ran out of gas. They called ahead
and we got stopped after being chased for around 30-40 miles. When the GSP
caught up another 10 minutes later they were not too happy. Time to see if
these traffic lawyers can live up to the hype. Cited for 125 in 70 and
reckless."

Moral of the story is to pay more attention to Clyde's signature!

who will now Flow Slow and Check 6 :(
