Were the cars unmarked? Here in Va. they have all kinds of non-traditional unmarkked police cars making them very difficult to detect. I used to drive *very* fast - like 90-100 on 4 lane divided highways - I came to realize that normal people in normal cars were not expecting me to be approaching at twice the speedlimit as they try to pull out into traffic --

I think most people who are enthusiasts have spent their lives looking for police cars and have become used to seeing police cars whether marked or not as having a certain stance - like it has special suspension, a little wider track, perhaps wider tires - etc. and when they put a Camaro or Mustang in the mix it throws things off -

Another problem in Va is having radar detectors illegal. I hear the SP have something that will detect the detectors - I guess the detectors must emit some stray signals?

When I'm driving fast I try to avoid "Go to Jail" speed if possible. Sometimes it's not possible ;-)

I wonder if the SP take into account the safety of the cars and the situation at the time (good roads, clear, dry weather, etc) when they hand out tickets? Seems they should punish those who weave in & out between cars more harshly than someone driving in a safe situation, doesn't it?

Guys,

This week, there have been 2 cases of speeders getting nailed for not
checking their six properly....myself, and this guy down in Georgia with his
Ferrari and Lamborghini.

I got stopped late at night two days ago on the Long Island Expressway doing
85 in a *45* (ouch! but for a second or two that could have been a 100 in a
45). The stop came a few miles after the initial clocking, and I never even
suspected it until I was slowing down on an exit ramp and saw the lights
come on behind me all of a sudden....eerie!

I figured it out after wondering where the hell the cop came from as there
are absolutely no hiding spots....and when I saw the ticket I realized he
most likely was in my six the whole time after I merged onto the highway. I
most likely aggravated his behavior by merging aggressively (like an
idiot!). It also hurts that a Goat was slain by a Charger....

Here is the other story:

"Me and my best friend both found out today that Georgia State Patrol does
not fcuk around and will arrest you for speeding. I was in the Ferrari and
he was driving my Lambo. Apparently we had a hoard of GSP trying to catch up
to us without us knowing and one of them ran out of gas. They called ahead
and we got stopped after being chased for around 30-40 miles. When the GSP
caught up another 10 minutes later they were not too happy. Time to see if
these traffic lawyers can live up to the hype. Cited for 125 in 70 and
reckless."

Moral of the story is to pay more attention to Clyde's signature!

who will now Flow Slow and Check 6 :(
