Greetings Listers.

I've been away from the list for a few weeks as I was traveling in France.
Among other things, I was looking for a red Lusso, s/n 5849. Never did find
it. But, I did have more conversation with the broker who bought it in the
US & shipped it to Europe, Karl Gnadinger. Also got to see a California
Spyder in rush hour traffic in Paris. THAT was a shocker. Caught me by
such surprise, I didn't get the camera out of my pocket fast enough to shot
a picture until all I got was part of the trunk that showed between a lamp
post & other cars.

In any case, that was the last part of the 4-month search for the current
whereabouts of the Lusso whose seats I have. Having gotten no more
information than Gerald Roush supplied, I give up. The seats are back on
eBay.

Original seats from 1964 Lusso s/n 5849 on eBay.

After a search that included emails, ads & phone calls all over the world &
a visit to Lusso 5849's last known location, Monaco, just before the F1
race, I have come up with nothing beyond the information that Ferrari Market
Letter has from 1988 to 1991 -- offered for sale in US needing restoration
in 1988. Fully restored, but a no-sale at Orion auction in Monaco 1991.

And, since I need the room & $$ for a race engine for my Alfa, they have to
go.

Consequently, I have listed the seats from Lusso 5849 on eBay. Listing is
#280238473807. End time: Jun-30-08 14:07:46 PDT

If you are interested, please bid. Or, if you could pass this on, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks.
