Hi Bubba babe :-)

Yes, it had a Tesatarossa engine fitted wen Enzo sold it to New Zealand and yes it was a handful. Yes also a British owner (and proficient driver) did roll it and suffered sever injuries at theGoodwood Revival a few years ago.

The current owner has had a new V6 built and is now winning races in it :-)

Hey Francis: Caught another one, did ya? Good for you. There's always a spot open for a keen-eyed proofreader/copy editor in newspapers if you're interested. BTW, is that the same 246 that was wrecked by the wealthy Brit who owned it? It had his corporation name on it. Something like KBS? I always prefered the 246 with the 12-cyliner engine stuffed in it for the Tasman Series. It testing it, Tripps said that it was quite a handfull. Only it would have been a 2412. I had to put that in before cLyDe called me on it.

Yer Lister for more accuracy, Ferrari Bubba

The only race the Dino 246 won in 1960 was the Italian Grand Prix. There was no "European" GP in 1960. The Monza race was in fact the last GP won by a front engined car, but really only because all the British teams (who were by now running mid-engined cars) boycotted the race because they considered the Monza banking too dangerous. Hill did indeed win by 2 minutes from Richie Ginher in a smiliar car, Ferrari getting 4 of the first 5 places. The car Hill drove was chassis no 007, which after many journey roundd teh world in various incarnations, is now restored and raced in its original V6 condition and lives a couple of miles from my house. I see it quite often
