Well - another happy ending - Good luck seems to follow those who plan and work
hard - oh yeah, and does their due diligence. Why to go Ken.

  Doug:

I have an off lease 5 series that I bought CPO. So far I have replaced both
xenon light fixtures ($1,000) and the MID pixels ($2,000) under CPO warranty
with no hassles. These are great cars but they are HMO. So for BMWs I recommend
CPO, God knows that would apply to Ferraris as well.

But the pain feels so good! If we were not kinky we would all be driving
Hondas.

NOPE - sez the dealer - NOT ours. See - we did a 783 item check off list
to
pass on ONLY the bestest vehicles. Nope, dripping gas tank - not ours.

Hmmmm. Get me a copy of your check off list. I look it over - yep -
EVERYTHING is good - just as the good Yes boxes said so. But wait - heh
    heh.

We schedule a meeting with the VP or Grand PooBah of something. Why wont
you do something about this problem? Well, it coulda happened elsewhere -
your son-in-law didn't service the car with us and it could have happed
where he does (bash and patch in lower front of plastic gas tank). Well,
it
didn't. Uh huh. Well our list didn't note it. Oh yeah, your list - it
would have caught this? Yes? This list? Yes. This list a good as gold,
eh? Yes - you check EVERYTHING on it - Yes, sometimes twice. OK so this,
this and this was checked? Yes, what are you getting at? Well, you see
the
car there? Yes, the coupe? Ayep - the coupe. And RIGHT HERE your guy
checks that the "convertible top" is OK. Huh?

They paid for all parts and rental, Son-In-Law paid minor labor. End of
story. Believe those lists? Caveat Emptor - JUST like before. Wadda
    concept. heh heh
