I'm about to be super blasphemous right now. I don't like the Daytona. THERE! I said it. Wow. That feels good to get off my chest. Seriously, I thought the black replica of one in Miami Vice was cool, but only at night, and only with a lot of help from Phil Collins, Don Johnson, and Michael Mann. I know it's a Ferrari icon. I know it's got history. I know.. I know... I just doesn't look quite old enough, or perform quite new enough, to be a Ferrari I want. I don't hate it, I just don't love it enough to buy one. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way. Anyone else wanna come clean? You're thinking of the F1 Cliente program.....the Ferrari factory's 'Pit Crew' for all F1 car owners out there who wish to track their machines. Similar to Dealership support for the Challenge series, but a bit-higher pricetag. I haven't seen an email from anyone that could trump adding this baby to your garage: http://www.ferraris-online.com/pages/carintro.php?reqcardir=FE-F310-168 Other than that, the only other suggestion I'd make is to consider something iconically classic: a 365GTB/4 Daytona. Paul Newman owned/raced one to victory (rumor has it that Clint Eastwood bought the car and 'loaned' it to Paul to drive in Le Mans). Sonny Crocket had one, how cool is that? Raul Julia/Gumball Rally, 'the First Rule of Italian Driving', Enzo's involvement in development, the first-officially-titled 'SuperCar', loads of service support/parts, Swiss-watch reliability, true 175 mph capabilties from arguably one of the best front-engined V-12s assembled, one of Ferrari's Top Ten Ever, Daytona values are climbing, safe 'investment', and with a name like DAYTONA, even the rednecks respect it so you can park it literally anywhere in America. I like Bob's idea. Get the F1 car, saw it in half, put one half on the wall ... and then have little Ricky and his dad build you the missing half to track. To me it's a win-win situation. Steve, IMO: I like Clyde's idea of an F1, but I was under the impression that you had to have a crew just to start one. It's make a nice sculpture on the wall though.
