I'm not afraid to vote 3rd party. Voted for Anderson in '80 and Perot in
'92. And, this from a person who "worked" for Nixon in '60 (when I was
closest in my 8th grade L.A.S.S. class to the final electorate vote and won
a cake from the Home Ec. class, but never got it.)

> Thx for the comments - I had written mostly out of frustration - as
you pointed out, pur 2 "choices" are not much to shout about. I cannot
remember when the field was so poorly positioned. Also, you wrote <<Votes
for any other third party are "throw-a-ways" that will do no good>> and may
possibly do harm - if a vote for BB would otherwise have gone to McLame
making Hussien's victory more assured. The Ross Perot effect at work once
again.

> Of course, B Barr will never have a chance to run since the main stream
media will continue to ignore him and the vast majority of US citizens have
no idea who or what he is and stands for. He's not perfect but he's closer
to being a conservative that McLame could dream of being. Now that he must
look to real conservatives for support and possible victory he's flipping on
his position on several issues. One of the more important issues to me is
preserving the 2nd Amendment for law abiding citizens and not continuing to
water it down. He's voted again some important Pro 2nd A legislation and
the terrible McLame Leiberman Campaign Finance Reform ill which says peoples
organizations cannot make announcements 30-60 days before an election! I
know the MSM has given the term PAC a black eye and bad connotation but all
it means is a groups of citizens who organize to make their voices easier to
hear. Unions, NRA, AARP are all PACs which McLames bill silenced. They
were prevented from telling congressmen's voting records 30-60 days prior to
an election! Who'd a thunk the Supremes would sing - "Baby, It's OK" when
that provision was challenged as being protected by the 1st Amendment. I
believe some congressmen signed off thinking the Supremes would bouce that
provision - but, Nope - didn't happen back then - But perhaps recently it
was renegotiated.

it'd be nice to believe you'd be doing something to preserve a very special
life. All I see are 2 jokers looking for power & to line their pockets.
Hmmm.. can't say that as much about McLame - and obama is a committed
socialist...

whose depth of experience is only exceeded by my son who is a college senior
and might even graduate eventually, or the McManchurian candidate, a good
sailor who stood up as best he could for as long as he could to the Hanoi
Hilton and who is to be respected for that, but that experience is just not
applicable to the job he is seeking, particularly after leaving his first
wife who stood by a Navy POW Aviator during his confinement in the PRVN, but
was then enticed by the riches of his second wife, who performs the same
duties for him as Ms. Heinz-Kerry does for her former sailr?

so it is once again a choice of the lesser of two evils a vote AGAINST a
candidate rather than FOR one.

and according to his opponent I shall never achieve that status. If it were
only a field of four in which one could choose to vote for POTUS by giving
him/her the highest number of votes and for V-POTUS by giving him/her the
second highest number of votes. I would predict a Palin victory for the
highest office of the land and who knows perhaps Command McManchuria might
come in as V-POTUS.

as I am not certain that I could respond in the affirmative to the question
as to whether or not I would "take a bullet" for any of them. I was a simple
question when Ronald Reagan was alive and well serving as POTUS but
self-interest most probably would have prevailed (except during the period
immediately following 9/11).
