The Ferrari Prugna was more like eggplant, too, except with a little more brown in it. Some friends of mine (and former Listers) Ian and Claudia Poertner had a Prugna 328 for a while, so it wasn't a one-time color. It was nice looking, and as a used car, if you buy it cheaper and sell it cheaper you have no net difference for a weird color. Only the original purchaser suffers the sting of not getting resale red. -- charles -----Original Message----- From: Doug and Terri Anderson [mailto:dnt [at] dock.net] Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 10:38 AM To: Charles Perry Cc: The FerrariList Subject: Re: [Ferrari] New 430 "futures" >>Charles sez "Blues and silvers seem OK, but color preferences are >>cyclical and if you do something weird be prepared to take the hit later." In the late 70's, Playboy did an article on the then new 308 GTS. Color? Pruna. That's purple. Only article Ferrari article I've seen in Playboy - only time I saw a purple Ferrari. Not bad, not bad - you just have to like purple. Porsche did Aubergine - French for egg plant. One year only - 1972. DOUG
