No I believe with the F50 that new F40 buyers had first right of refusal
on the cars before anyone else. The Enzo was the car that Ferrari
wouldn't release the title to the buyer before 24 months. And again new
buyers of hte F50 had first right of refusal. They called it a "lease"
but you could pay for the car in full up front. They were just trying
to cut down on speculators making money of the car immediately. All
they did was postpone it 2 years when a lot of buyers set their cars in
the garage and sell them for double MSRP.

Hey Ya'll - 2 Questions -I've heard the F50 is never sold, only leased for 2 year periods assuming the leasee is approved. True? The F40 and F50 were to commemorate the 40th and 50th Anniv of Ferrari - was there a 60th Anniv edition - was there even a celebration? I'm assuming the 60th is past -- but only because I don't recall any mention of a celebration --Perhaps I just missed it? What's the starting point? 1947? no, that can't be right =- that would make the 50th in 2007 - I *know* it was not last year -- but it was not long after the end of WW2 I think -YMMV - Take Care, Larry T http://youroil.net Carb & Jet Settings: http://members.rennlist.org/oil/ - Oil Testing http://members.rennlist.org/webercarbs/----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug and Terri Anderson" <dnt [at] dock.net>To: "Larry Turner" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2008 10:32 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] What should I buy?Keep you young? The 333SP will keep you young! You can pamper yourselfwhen you turn 70, although I know several racers who kept things lively well past that age. Paul Newman into his 80's and John Fitch, who is now 91 and a challenge to keep up with on the road even now. You will NEVER sit in your rocking chair saying that you regretted buying the 333SP.
