One more suggestion - I have been smitten by the 250GT-SWB since seeing one
in Rivera Blue paint in the Tour de France a few years ago, Seeing it
rolling thru country lanes with the nose slightly up as he accelerated thru
the gears and the carbureted V12 sang it's special song. ;-D
ok, I'd better stop the heavy breathing now .....before this qualifies as an obscene phone call --
I know a dream like this isn't usually as titilating as the reality is and unless the right lottery numbers hit it'll still be a dream for me next year. But I'd dearly love to drive on thru France, Italy and Austria with an unlimited gas card. ;-) and an Amex card with the bill going to George Soros.--
Actually that dream has several cars that I;d love to have with me -- did I mention the timing would be such that I could see the 24H of LeMans including the Classic 24H, the F1's at Spa and Monza and the historic Millie Miglia and Targa Florio. ahhhhh... i'd better stop... the Stelvio is calling ...

Larry: The story about F50s only being leased is untrue. The "F60" 60th anniversary car - was the Enzo. and , your math is off - 1947+50 = 1997 (F50 was released in '95). True? The F40 and F50 were to commemorate the 40th and 50th Anniv of Ferrari - was there a 60th Anniv edition - was there even a celebration? I'm assuming the60th is past -- but only because I don't recall any mention of a celebration --Perhaps I just missed it? What's the starting point? 1947? no, that can'tbe right =- that would make the 50th in 2007 - I *know* it was not last year -- but it was not long after the end of WW2 I think - YMMV - Take Care, Larry T http://youroil.net Carb & Jet Settings: http://members.rennlist.org/oil/ - Oil Testing http://members.rennlist.org/webercarbs/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug and Terri Anderson" <dnt [at] dock.net> To: "Larry Turner" <l02turner [at] comcast.net> Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2008 10:32 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] What should I buy?Keep you young?
