Phil: I'll be waiting. As to the meaning of life, my son Willi Dieter and I
used to go fishing down on the Baja, just the two of us for a few days at a
time a often as we could. Our bonding time is what I remember about him the
most. Just two little guys in this vast world, sharing our hopes, our?dreams,
and our lives together as only a father and son can do.?Although he was killed
when he was only 23, I'll never forget those nights on the beach, around the
campfire with him.

At my age, I'll probably never have the privilege and honor to do that with my
7 year-old son, Harrison, but I can sure as hell try. I envy you and your
family sailing trips. But not to worry, Willi, Harrison and I will be right
along side you guys in the boat too. Good sailing.

Yer pals, Willi, Harrison, and Bubba

   Rick L and listers

I can not tell you how much I would have liked to join you all, in
fact, Jim and I had spoken about this event from day one minus a few
days and I am thrilled that he was able to carry the ball to fruition.
I know how hard it had to have been and hope that he feels that his
efforts were and are appreciated even by those of us who stood by and
   watched.

My life is still a drag race between me and the bear....how ever, life
is good , one just can not do all that one wishes.

I have attended only a few Ferrari events this year, I have too many
pots in the fire. I am both on the board of a major multi marque event
here in suburban Phila. and the "Chief Judge" for that same
event........www.radnorconcours.org to say the least it keeps me
busy. I will probably bow out after next years event because I have
other interests that I still want to invest more time in.
My son and I have a sailboat ( 28' sloop) that he and I try to sail as
often as possible in hopes of being able to take on some long distance
sailing in about 2 years when he is ready to take a loooong vacation.
He ( age 40) myself ( ageless) and my grand son ( age 3) will be
sailing together this week end and I can only tell you that this must
   be the meaning of life.

I hope that I will have the pleasure of joining you all for the next
similar event, I had hoped to see yo and your wife F Willi and all the
others who share a common dream which in my convoluted mind is to own
and enjoy those cars we love for what they are, not what they
   represent.

   Phil
( I am still glad you introduced me to the list, a memorable list of
individuals most of whom I hope to meet some of whom I fear....all of
whom are among the most sincere people I have ever communicated with)
