308's in 08 and Forza Ferrari in 2009--my comments and thoughts, $ out

I'm certainly up for another try at it. With the size of the parking lot
area and the way the lots are laid out a car show and an autocross event
could be done at the same time on Saturday. That would allow those who want
to show their cars to show their cars and those that want to autocross to
autocross. From Josh's (Harrah's Marketing Director) comments he
could/would/like to get his clients involved in the autocross if he had more
time to notify them i.e. we're providing something he considers valuable to
him and in turn will provide something of value to us.

I don't know if it was mentioned in any previous threads but Harrah's did
provide two $100 spa packages and four golf foursome packages on a Hale
Irwin designed golf course. So if you spread the 18 comps around nearly
everybody who came could have done something, spa or golf. I'm like you, I
know we have built up a lot of 'good will' with Harrah's and in 2009 we both
can perform better. And if we perform better Habitat will also be better for
it.

The questions are how much $ are you out and what are the dates for next
year?

As soon as you pick the dates I'll get with the SCCA and coordinate their
schedule for the autocross. As you have seen, Listers' are more than willing
to share rides and drives (this has been true for a long time). Even if
there is not enough participation for an actual autocross event I believe we
can certainly find enough Listers' volunteers to take Harrah's clients
around the course to satisfy Harrah's expectations. Regardless, we just tell
Harrah's what we have to offer and let them decide.

Thanks,

Robert Rehkopf
