Speaking of F1 ;-) I ran across this on the EVO magazine website -<< Starting next year, those little protuberances that currently festoon F1 car bodies will be banned. They make it difficult to see the sponsors' logos, and as sponsorship pays the bills.
Rear wings will be much smaller from 2009 too. Currently an overtaking car is heavily affected by the rear wing of the car in front, so it's hoped the change will result in more overtaking. To counter the loss of downforce, slick tyres are back, so cornering will rely much more on mechanical grip, and front wings will get bigger, giving more of an F3 look.>>
Don't know if this has alread been discussed but IMO "It's about time!" I can't believe the FIA finally made a design changes I can agree with!

Perhaps it still is! ------Original Message------ From: LarryT To: rolindsay Cc: The FerrariList Sent: Oct 24, 2008 10:08 AM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] BadgesWow! 70 euro's sounds like a deal - and it obviously doesn't have the usualFerrari markup (add 500% because of the F word). It's nice to know there are craftspeople like that still around. For several decades UK has had a cottage industry of people making small partsfor unique cars - especially F1 - small runs of unusual suspension uprights, etc - UK was the center of the universe for building cars. I'd recommend using his restorer. Cost?I've paid about 70 euros, including shipping to/from England Rui _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/l02turner%40comcast.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/_________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/rolindsay%40yahoo.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
