Rich notes "The company [Porsche] said on Tuesday it no longer saw its financial year unit sales to end-July reaching the previous same period's level of 98,652 vehicles."

In 1973, when Ferry Porsche gave his speech at a national gathering in Monterey, someone asked "how do you figure the price of a new Porsche?" Ferry said - "we build 14,000 units - if there are any left over at the end of the year, we lower the price - - there are never any left over."

Interesting to note that in 1973 a Porsche 911, Ferrari Dino 246, and a MB sports 350 SL all sold for about the same price BUT projected three different personalities: Winter Playboy; Anytime Playboy (ciao); Doctors wife. heh heh
