I've used the harbor freight one at the track but I wouldn't recommend it for 
daily use.  I always felt the 3000 lbs. one was on the verge of snapping in 
half and collapsing sideways.  Definitely get a higher rated one - 4000 lbs. or 
higher.  I like the fact it didn't break my back because it was so lightweight.

I'm thinking of getting a low profile jack similar to this one.  I'm 
getting tired of replacing the cup on my standard floor jack with a 
piece of plywood to get under the TR.
