But my house built in 1979 has 1 foot concrete walls and roof with 1 1/8 inch rebar. 3700 sqr feet tornado proof, worry free sleep in torando alley priceless. During construction not 1 but 2 full size bulldozers were parked on the roof. The only downside is that I have to mow my roof in the spring, summer and fall.
