The more I think about, the more I believe there's a connection between
the sticking sender and Techron. Maybe the Techron loosen some sluge
from the bottom of the tank and it jammed the float. If running the
tank down below where the gauge is reading doesn't free up the float
I'll get the TR up on a lift, pull the belly pan and apply a little
impact to the unit.

Hello Martin - hmmmm, no problems that I am aware of with Techron. BUT some fuel gauges are on a resistor wire and may get a flat spot due to wear or if parked a long time - corrosion of sorts. Go out a drive it. The bouncing about may free up the errant little bagger.DOUG Keep us posted.----- Original Message ----- From: "Martin Stark" <MStark [at] Copper.net>To: "DOUG" <dnt [at] dock.net> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2008 8:17 AM Subject: [Ferrari] Sticking Fuel Gauge SenderFueled the TR today and I just noticed that the gauge is reading low - just under 1/4 rather than full. First time the gauge has misbehaved in the 11 years I've owned the TR. I did add a large jug of Techron before fueling and I'm wondering if there might be a connection. Anyone run into this situation before? I looked through the parts manual and the fuel gauge sender appears to be accessible without removing the right side tank. _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/dnt%40dock.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/_________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/mstark%40copper.netSponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlineshttp://www.F1Headlines.com/
