Hello Friends,

Once again I ask; Has anyone heard of a Mondial being parted out? I need an
inside, driver's side door handle release. I can probably make a replacement
for my car but it won't be too pretty. New handles are over $400 from
T.Rutlands.

Now, an update: I removed my Mondial QV's driver's side door panels this
evening. There are three panels running horizontally. The middle one is
leather covered steel and is secured by one small diameter sheet metal screw
through the open end and into the door frame. Once this screw is removed, the
panel is slid rearward until the catches release. The panel is then lifted
away from the door.

Next is the upper panel that goes up to the window opening. This piece is
vinyl covered. It is released by removing screws now exposed in the center
section along with a screw at the front edge of the upper panel. This panel is
removed by lifting up so tabs can work free of the window opening. The last
panel is the bit from the armrest down. This one releases by removing screws
in the center section plus a few screws up from the bottom of the panel.

The speaker wires need to be disconnected before the panel can be lifted away.
The inner door, covered in weatherproofing plastic, is now exposed.

Here's another look inside the rear of the door.

The latch and lock mechanisms are adjusted with these turn-buckle-like
adjusters.

And in one of the earlier pictures you can see the broken door handle.

That's it.
