Well when I retrimed the 400i I found a few old timers who would do the job  
for cash. One person I was directed to did a beautiful job on the dash board 
(as  you can see on my website) and I bought the leather myself from Bridge of 
Weir.  To retrim the entire 400i (9 hides) cost approx 5000.00 including the 
leather 4  years ago. I di the install and strip down. Good enough to win the 
FOC concours  two years ago....
 
Body work isn't that cheap but I don't have anything to compare it to.  a/v???
 
 

Britt,  that was an inspiring write up. If only that could be the same here
in the  US!

Just curious, in a related note, how expensive is custom work in  general?
This could be bodywork, interior stuff, a/v,  etc.
