Hello,

Earlier I wrote a comment in passing, regarding restoring the Mondial's
interior. Here's a bit of follow-on. So far, I have applied a few treatments
to the seat leather and have now cleaned up the rubber molding and winlace on
the driver's side. Here's a quick look,
http://www.aubard.us/Mondial/HPIM1297.JPG . You can see that I have removed
the main carpets. They have been shampooed and dried. I then heated the
rubberized backing and flattened it, taking out the ages-old wrinkles. With
the sill carpet recemented along the winlace, I can now shampoo that bit of
carpet too for a clean, soft finish. When all that stuff is done I'll
reinstall the main carpets.
I also cleaned and repainted the handbrake handle semi-gloss black. The
leather wrap has been treated to a bath of Leatherique's R-oil. You can see
the handle and the leather cover better in the slightly-out-of-focus shot,

wiped down.
