28*, and partly cloudy here in South Central Arkansas @ 4:15 pm, with a 
wind-clill factor of 17*. Wednesday morning at 6 am, I woke up to 67* and 
beautiful. 

Hey Doug, I remember that you took astronomy when you were a 49er, so what's 
that brilliant large glowing light about 45* up, due west from us?in the clear 
evening sky? Anybody?

It's pretty nice here - high fifties to low sixties. We went horseback
riding through the trails behind our barn this morning and along the
Ashley River. Short sleeve shirts. Very nice, except for some rain after
we got back.

I'm becoming convinced the Ice Age has begun.  Haven't been able to get
out of the driveway in 10 days and no road improvement forecast until
after a bleak & lonely Christmas.  

So, I'm going to downsize and leave Oregon but to where is the question.

Is the weather where you are better than average for December or at
least acceptable?  

Beginning to think Bubba Hilser made a smart move but I really don't
know what the winter weather is like in the South.
