If you take it to a radiator shop they will probably remove the tanks
and seal off the ends of the leaking tube unless the leak is right were
the tube enters one of the end plates. If you want to spend the bucks,
a recore will provide more peace-of-mind.

Hi Hans/Bill/others,The Radiator is made of brass (copper?) - one or the other - from a 66 MGB Roadster. IIRC, brass/copper was the material of choice rather than Alum as is the case today - preferred materials have been reversed..The pinhole looks to have been repaired once before - I used a grinder to get all the junk off. The area is now very clean but I will clean with some Muriatic acid I use on masonry - as suggested.Going to Home Depot to get some acid core solder. Have a can of flux and planty of propane cylinders. Will heat the radiator as suggested to get the solder to flow - as suggested. If it doesn't work, I'll take it to a Radiator Shop - also suggested (Thx) - for a professional repair and flush -Sincerely, Larry T (74 911, 91 300D 2.5T) www.youroil.net Oil Analysis Kits & Porsche Posters/Weber parts Test Results - http://members.rennlist.com/oil/ http://www.scamfreetop10.com/1233.html .----- Original Message ----- From: "Hans E. We used to get these repaired all the time at a local fab shop that had a whiz with a heliarc. It's thin metal, so the guy had better know his stuff. Hans.
