I'm afraid not, as you'll want to replace the rubber seal under the steel 
carrier as well - otherwise, you could have leakage around the re-inserted 
injector using the old seals....and that's no good!  Plus, pushing 'down' with 
the old seal still in the carrier might push the seal down into the 
intake.....and then you're REALLY SCREWED.
