I am not an ME, but the design looks very interesting.
That said the videos look like an infomercial similar to those folks
selling you Royal Purple motor oil or the Segway or those miracle fuel
addititves.
Also I would seriously question the fact that they had a "working prototype" in 2005, and here it is 4 years later and where are these motors?
Granted mechanical designs may take a bit longer to go to production, but most real ideas like this get bought by someone and implemented quickly if they truly would provide some kind of competitive advantage, which does not seem to have happened. Conspiracy theorists might suggest big oil put a stop to it, kinda like better batteries... I sorta doubt that though.
