Ferrari Mailing List: Political Bullshit

I am asking humbly that we return discussions on this list toward cars,
things automotive or at least cats, watches and guns.  Never in all the
years that I have been on this list, and I've been on since the very
beginning has there been such arrogant, hateful, ignorant, alienating,
accusatory and blasphemous a topic thread as this one.

 

I have had the honor to meet many of you in person and I consider it a
privilege to call many of you friends.  That being said, these past few
months, the generosity of this list and its willingness to share information
to help each other out, myself on many occasions included, has been greatly
overshadowed by the venomous and righteous banter about politics and who is
right and who is wrong.  

 

This group has always been about much more than Ferraris, which has made it
unique and one of my favorite reads.  It is also a reason that a number of
great members have moved on.  Some have come back, but how many valuable, or
possibly valuable contributions have we lost?  We'll never know, but I would
wager more than we've gained through newbies or people just joining during
this thread.

 

Yes, I have a delete key, and rest assured that the 'elet' portion is nearly
worn off.  I wouldn't ask if I didn't feel that this topic had become a
source of anger and hate which benefits no one, no matter how right they
are.

 

I propose that since this topic is so engrossing, that a new list be
started; maybe politicalrantings [at] politicalrantingslist.com or some such.
Feel free to go on over to Google or Yahoo and start one up.
