I didn't know Douglas Adams had written about Australia.  He's perhaps
trying a little too hard in this example, but he's "spot on" about the
important stuff.  He appears to make no mention of the most astonishingly
beautiful and most venomous of Australia's creatures, the women.  His humor
is sorely missed.

And good news for VB drinkers in the States -- at least those near San
Francisco or willing to pay freight:
