I don't mind modern cars at all or their wiz bang features. If anything, they make me appreciate "classics" more and "classic" driving skills. I also like defined eras in automotive history. "Men were men" sort of thing. My car buddies who don't track or have not mastered the heel and toe maneuver respect the skill and the level I can perform it at even though they can pass me in their automatic equipped Detroit iron. I learned how to heal and toe in a synchro'd trans. It's still something I find great pleasure doing. Synchro'd trans also made me appreciate and admire the drivers before me that could do it in an unsynchronized trans. The guys that tout the car before skill, I really don't care to associate with anyway. I guess it's why I like half of you on the list... LOL Rodney
