Ferrari Mailing List: Here's cLyDe'S Secret

After sparing with cLyDe going on 10 years now, I think I've found the  
answer. Our friend purposely makes these little errors (70K instead of 7K) just 
 to 
get a rise out of us gullible rubes out there in Ferrari-land.
 
And you know what? He works us like Laird Hamilton works a 30-foot wave.  
LMFAO! You don't get to be where cLyDe is, making these silly little  goofs.
 
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if next, he tells us that he and  
Little Ricky are putting two haves of a Ferrari together and entering it in the 
 
Pebble Beach Concourse with hopes of winning!
 
Kudos to you, cLyDe, Texas never named a town in our honor!  --   Yer pal,

BTW, I've met our old pal cLyDe too, and I agree with you.  He's a  really
neat and knowledgeable Tifosi, and I know of no one  who thinks any  
different.

As you have seen, cLyDe can be rather  terse and sometimes pithy in his
comments, but he's speaking from the  heart and means no real harm. Some List
members, including Shitbox (his  term) Bubba enjoy the friendly give-and-take 
 with
him.

After  flying F4's in Viet Nan, I think that he's fully capable of coming to
his  own defense, with no help from the peanut gallery. (no offense  
intended).

Clyde, you and I are about the same  age, I believe.  I'm 58 and born in
1950, same as you.  That tells  me  that you probably started your career in

Anyway, folks  can try to beat on you as much as  they please - even when you
have  a one-digit typo - but you were up there  saving lives before many of

were born!  Jump forward 40 years;  hundreds if not  thousands of people still
put their lives in your hands every  week.

And despite your harsh comments and terse writing style,  the few  times that
we have met (Indy., Magny Cours, etc.) you have  been nothing less  than fun
and kind.  Yea, I think you're a  pretty good guy. :-)  (Not  that anyone 
gives a
damn about my  opinion  either.)
