The FXX is probably one of the most tech. advanced and
inovative automobiles in the world......I have no idea how this
relates to me, and doubt that I will ever under any circumstances see
   the inside of the cockpit.

It is probably a factor of my age and the length of time that I have
been around Ferrari and watched the evolution of both the car and the
   people who own them.

I hope to own a couple more Ferrari automobiles befor the first shovel
full hits the lid, but one never knows......the classic front engined
cars have far surpassed my financial reach, and the newer cars some of
which have the depreciation curve of a cinder block out a window are
beyond my outlook as to cost of maintenance. ( But I do like the
   Maranello's)

A bright spot seems to be in what I will call the mid year cars, the
308's, the Mondials, and best yet the TR's ..... yes they are still
in most cases expensive to maintain ( esp. if you go to your local
FNA dealer) and BTW, I am in favor of doing that where ever
resonable and practical. These are cars that if you have a modicum of
mechanical skills, know how to read and have the support of people
like those on this list you can do much your self, and for those of us
who lack those skills there are many qualified shops and mechanics
available to assist at almost bearable costs.

I mention specifically the TR's because I believe that in spite of the
10,0000 or so built, they will become tomorrows classics or in many
cases probably the book end years, early and late, will start to see
some appreciation. In my opinion, these cars are currently near or at
the bottom and are pretty decent investments. My suggestion is that if
you have never been in one or driven one, and if you want a car that
is hugely satifying to look at but you do not not need to drive every
day, if your ego is touched by any one saying "my god, is that yours"
....If you enjoy a reasonably spirited drive with the big dogs but do
not mind being whompped by a dude in a Vette....then you need to go
out find one look at it as hard as you can....prior maint. is
tres important....and buy one while the prices are still where they
   are.
I admit to having one for sale, and I will tell you if I could I would
keep it, and probably will wind up buying one at some point when my
personal economy moves far enough in the right direction (one more
time) and no doubt it will not be as good or as inexpensive as they
   are today.

   Four things
   1) Yes I have a car for sale
   2) I do not give a rats a** if you look at my car or not, this is not
about me and any car that I may have for sale it is my opinion about
what where and when...I will still be around in 2 or 3 years when the
speculators have driven these cars out of sight one more time
   3) CLydE may see things differently
   4) I still do not see how an FXX will ever relate to me, or I to it.

   Thanks, Phil
