>From an old racin' pal who lives right around the corner from the motel.  Any 
Listers stay there for the USGP? Sad to see a bit of Indy history go the  way 
of progress. BTW, the restaurant had, excellent food.

The 46 year old Speedway Motel (Brickyard Crossing),  closed since Christmas, 
is currently undergoing demolition.  It will  become a paved parking lot for 
the time being.  There will be no change  in the operation of the restaurant, 
Flagroom Bar, or Gold Clubhouse.  I  will miss seeing old Gomer Pyle sitting 
on a motel chair moved outside and  Gomer chatting with anyone who passed by.
