Very good observations. I don't play with cars as investments. It is better said that, "I have a hobby that pays for itself." The issue with the M-B is that I trusted a guy and it turned out that the car was MUCH more rusty than was reported. It really is best termed a complete and running parts car. Old sports cars for me, are therapy. I come home from 10 hours of work, pick up a wrench and the stress melts off. Wrenching keeps me sane. The fact that I about break even is a bonus.
