Hey Gang, A couple of days ago I wrote a note about upscaling measurements from one scale to that of another. Its part of what I do in my job. I compared it all the the experiences of driving different size cars. And although that note generated a good deal of geek chatter, the thread of the message was subliminal. The reason for the post was to prepare you for an announcement. I have decided that my old Mercedes project car is just too rusty (structural rust) for me to attack in my garage. The second reason is that Mercedes parts cost even MORE than Ferrari parts, but the finished product is worth very little. It is the classic financial-black-hole restoration project. To replace the M-B project, I have bought another sports car. And yes, it is a little British sports car. Here are a couple of pictures of a car similar to the one I bought. Same colors and not far off the same condition. http://www.aubard.us/tr3a/TR3a_1.jpg and http://www.aubard.us/tr3a/TR3a_1.jpg . It is a 1961 Triumph TR3a and it is as close to a true "barn find" as one might ever encounter in this lifetime. It is a one-owner, completely original, always-garaged gem. I take delivery in early April. Happy Saturday, rick '08 M-B C300 '03 L-R Discovery '96 BMW 740iL '83 Mondial QV '79 308GTB '61 M-B 180b '61 Triumph TR3a
