That is just Brilliant!!!

I had a Highlander for a rental for a week while my company car was in the shop. It was very bland I thought. My wife did not like it over the Odyssey.
Must be something about it though...they are all over town here!

See now I can't argue either point here... My wife drives a Toyota
4Runner. Its dead on reliable, its like my Honda lawn mower... Though
not as loud.

That said it is the automotive equivalent of white paste or elevator
music or de-caffeinated coffee, or diet coke. Its the Nutra-sweet of
the car world... All toyotas are without exception. The only thing
worse I think are the poor saps who spend even more for a Lexus, which
is just a jar of white paste with some golden sparkles in it or elevator
music in stereo or diet decaffeinated coke ONE... The splenda of the
car world... You paid more, but got the same no soul...

My God how I loathe driving it, even though its quiet, smooth, closes up
like a vault and gets me there with a minimum of fuss, is easy to load
and unload, kids like it, and it never hiccups even a little bit...

Hateful Soulless thing, makes me want to drill a pinhole in an oil line
so it leaves a bit on the garage floor...

Agreement and counterpoint:

There's no doubt that the Japanese cars are rock-solid and

   and to counter Rick's counterpoint.

It's my WIFE's car - the one my SON rides in.

I don't care if it has soul - I want it to be dependable,
reliable, and safe.

Ergo, they ride in a Toyota Highlander. (Her choice actually)
