Hey Rodney: A Cubie? You must have been a big fan of Steve Goodman and his  
song about the lament of the poor Cubs Fan. Steve was a great talent that was  
taken way too early. His songs were honest and for the ages. Where would David 
 Allan Coe be without 'You don't have to call me darlin,' darlin,' I never 
even  knew you name,' that all-time C&W classic.
 
Oh yea, DAC would probably still be performing in some sleazy biker bar  just 
like he does now.

You have to  see a Cactus League spring training baseball game.  Either 
in the  Phoenix area or in Tucson.  I've been to Catalina island, but it's  
been so long ago it might as well have been in another lifetime.  As  a 
matter of fact, I think it *was* in another lifetime...but if I remember  
correctly is was pretty nice.  If the bar "The 49ers" is still on PCH  in 
Long Beach, stop by.  Used to have good sandwiches.  Or maybe  I was just 
thirsty and anything tasted good after all that beer.  Ah,  1971...
