F-Bubba, you have fallen into the same trap that I do occasionally.  You're 
trying to make sense of events that have no logic other than $$$$.  The reason 
to award points to the back-markers is to keep THEIR fans buying beer and 
Viagra.  There is nothing approaching 'sport' in this business.  Its about 
entertaining the bottom of the Homo sapiens barrel.

That being said, there isn't any 'sport' in F1 either - except perhaps the 
Constructor's Championship.  The rest is all entertainment.  Bring back CanAm!  
That's my vote!
