Thanks for the reminder, Rick ! If you want to go directly to the Boavista Circuit English page use this one: http://www.circuitodaboavista.com/select_lang.php?id=en This event is very interesting for several reasons. The atmosphere is identical to the Goodwood Festival because people around the north of Portugal are real car enthusiasts and you can walk around the paddock anytime you like. You can talk to the drivers and mechanics, particularly when close to the event's end when they are all relaxing and not stressed. I particularly like to spend the last couple of works around the paddock to see them packing everything on the trucks. The circuit surrounds the city park, a very nice place to relax, with small lakes, lots of birds and other animals. On one side of the circuit you have the beach ! I think there is no other historic circuit that has all that variety. That a look at the plant and you'll have an idea: http://www.circuitodaboavista.com/gca/?id=313 The part that I'm organizing will be a Ferrari and Maserati charity gathering and parade that we expect to have participants from Spain, France and the UK If there is enough interest from list members let's call it EuroHallett 2009 !! Any listers in Europe that would be interested in bringing their cars ? Take a look at the web site and see the pictures from past events. If you decide to come over, let me know and I can help. Those that decide to bring the car and participate in the charity event will have special rates for hotels and tickets. I can help with local resources like a travel agency, I have good friends there. Let me know what you think ! Regards, Rui
