Techron, made by Chevron is one that is considered to be effective. It  
is one of the few products approved by BMW to reduce valve deposits  
(which BMW has had problems with in the past)

It will also clean injectors and the fuel system.

For it to be most effective, add to a full tank and run the tank all  
the way down. It's also suggested to use it before a scheduled oil  
change as it can dilute the oil some.
