For ages I've heard that Gunk fuel injector cleaner is good. Same with a Texaco product, the name of which I can't remember. Any of you have a product for cleaning injectors, intake valves, etc. That is, a fuel additive that actually cleans the fuel system?
I've always used Techron. Back when the GTI was new, Mother Volkswagen began recommending their fuel additive to keep the fuel system clean. A former factory mechanic revealed that his factory training indicated that the VW product was just re-bottled Techron. I use a bottle every 4 or 5 tanks. Don't know which one is "best", I'd love to see a proper scientific test of the various additives.
