Rick: It certainly isn't built to my taste (despite the fact that Kentucky would have a rightful place in the Third World) but Tata has a much better manufacturing and quality control reputation than Yugo. I think, if my memory serves me correctly, they now own Jaguar and may acquire another upper tier European manufacturer as well. It would not be a sensible investment if Tata would simply be looking to run it into the ground. And, it may even be good for the U.S. economy. Just think about where an Indian company could outsource its work. Can you imagine the frustration of an Indian buyer when the phone is answered: "Hello, my name is Billy Bob but you can call me 'Cooter' how may I help you?" Dr. Steve Dr. Stephen B.
