Jim, awesome list of work here...very impressive!!! Send us some write-ups of your adventures with it. I am expecting chrome from the plater any day now... Thanks, LS ----- Original Message ---- From: Jim <jimshadow [at] verizon.net> To: LS <lashdeep [at] yahoo.com> Cc: The FerrariList <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Monday, April 13, 2009 8:21:20 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Ferraris and fun cars Well, I just gave it an oil change and as you know the interior is out. This Friday I'm hoping to drop the trans pan to investigate a 5th gear issue that I'm having. Sometimes it will go into gear as it should and others it will either chatter going in or outright grind. I *think* I may have a mal-aligned or loose selector fork. We'll find out when I drop the pan. After that I'm going to DRIVE the hell out of the car this year. I'm planning on several long drives including the FCA meet. Both my Daughters want to come with (they are 9 and 7 and TOTAL car nuts!) In fact, my youngest turns 8 that week. This fall the motor is coming out for a top end rebuild. At least that is the plan for now. (Subject to change of course!) To date I have myself: rebuilt the suspension including bushings and new coil overs installed new X-OST exhaust given it a valve job replaced the belts installed an electronic ignition (bye bye distributors!) multiple oil changes gearbox fluid change added 328 wheels larger swaybar installed quick turn steering rack I have farmed out: carb rebuild powder coating for suspension bits rust repair with accident repairs. AND I've put something like 17,000 miles on it in 2years. :) I just LOVE this car!!!!!!!!!!!! What's next for your car project wise? ----- Original Message ---- From: "jimshadow [at] verizon.net" <jimshadow [at] verizon.net> To: L. I'm currently getting the interior vinyl re-covered so she is going to be a happy car!! I was actually getting ready to go golfing on Saturday and around the corner comes the Isetta. Neat kid! He is 17 and he inherited the Isetta from his Grandfather a couple years ago. His Dad is a car nut with a GTO, Vette and a couple others. His older Brothers are not car guys, so this kid really lucked out! There was an Isetta at the Mid-Atlantic region's Lifts and Lunch gathering a couple of weekends ago. Those things are adorable. You'll have to scroll down, but the red Isetta is here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238520 It belonged to the gentleman who hosted us. He has quite a diverse collection - Porsches, Ferraris, the Isetta, a Cadi, Boss Mustang, and an original Woodie Mini Clubman! _______________________________________________ Charles G Perry IV Vice-President, Engineering Carolina Sound Communications - MuzaK 7630 Southrail Road, BLDG B N.
