I guess I'm just cold and heartless because I see this differently.

Every business out there, noble or crooked just wants your money.  Some do it 
cleanly.  Some do it with lies.  But folks, it isn't the seller who has the 
power to say, "Yes" to the buyer.  Its the other way around.  We're in this 
mess because people just bought too much shit that they couldn't afford.  That 
might be honkin-big houses or it might be many thousands of dollars of credit 
card debt.  Hell, it may be a Ferrari!  All caused because they didn't say, 
"No."  The last realtor that told me how much home loan I could afford was told 
to east shit and die.  How much I can afford is MY business.  And anyone who 
believes otherwise deserves the crap they've gotten themselves in.
