As mileage is a mainly a function of aerodynamics and weight, the Corvette is
amazingly good as far as that goes.

In the races, I get about 8 mpg at Big Bend, running 145mph. Due to the
course, I really have to push the car hard. Run the entire course in 5th gear.
At the Silver State, I get about 10-11 mpg running 145mph, but it is a much
easier course at a higher altitude (5-6Kft). I run almost the entire way on
cruise control in 6th gear. In the 130mph class, I got 17mpg.

My mileage depends on how fast I go, and at what altitude. The faster I go,
the lower the mileage. The higher I am (altitude-wise), the better the mileage.

Running at sea level at 80mph on the freeway, I get about 26mpg. If I drop to
60mph, my mileage goes up to about 35mpg.

Running at 4000ft at 80mph on the freeway, I get over 30mpg. I haven't tried
it, but I bet if I dropped to 60mph, I'd get about 40mpg.

Driving conservatively around town, I get better than 20mpg.

Much more fun than a Prius, great gas mileage and a large trunk! As an economy
car, I'll take a Corvette any day. Much more practical.
