I look in car mags printed in and for (largely) Europe/UK and online as well, the cars available there and not here, and I just get so mad, why the hell can't I get, for example, a Renault Clio Sport V6 in the states? There are safety and emission standards for the EU that are in some ways more strict than what we have in the U.S. Maybe Fiat will bring some small fun economical fun cars in if they merge with Chrysler, or maybe Ford will see the light and bring in some of their sporty Focus models, etc. Or maybe I'll just wake up and realize it's just a dream. Oh well. Had 5 teeth extracted today, upper immediate denture, not feeling too bad, all things considered. Now if I had something to smile about... :( tomintulsa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Conforti" <lndshrk [at] xmission.com> To: <kjtar [at] cox.net> Cc: <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Thursday, May 21, 2009 1:03 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Fw: Re: NFC Say goodbye to your SUV's : BO just madethem extinct > At 08:01 AM 5/21/2009, you wrote: > >Jim, I'm just shaking my head at this one.....YOU PROVED MY POINT. > > And how did I do that Michael? > > The numbers clearly show in black and white that as of last month > Both GM and Ford are selling more TRUCKS/SUVS than Honda/Toyota > are selling CARS. > > In fact, GM "Light Trucks" sold more than ANYTHING else by ANY > manufacturer in the Car/Light Truck category. > > Oh, but wait - it doesn't fit your pre-conceived notions > so you'll dance around the issue endlessly. > > (Loony Lib argument tactic #71 - if you have screwed up and gotten caught > in your lies - keep moving the target and dancing around until you > are either right (and say "HA!") or you tire out your opponent. > Reserve "I'm TIRED OF POLITICS ON THIS LIST" for last ditch efforts) > > Oh, and that BLOG you linked - was cars selling ALLTIME - in the WORLD. > > (As is the opinion of some random computer programmer in India!) > > The presence of the Nissan SUNNY and the LADA RIVA should have > given that away.
