No stand setup for a 308 motor, but have a stand and engine hoist that you are welcome to borrow for a while. I'll need it this fall for a super sex Ford 289 build up for the Shelby. 1967 289 block, forged steel Boss 302 crank,Boss 302 rods, Keith Black 11.2:1 forged pistons, Shelby "Le Mans" solid lifter cam, 4x2Weber 48IDA manifold and T304 stainless long tube headers. I'm going to rebuild with the current 351W iron heads until the bottom end is seasoned, then pull them and install a set of Aluminum Edelbrock Victors. I'm hoping for 500bhp [at] 7500rpm which should be pretty attainable. Anyone have an erection yet? By the way, anyone have a line on a 308 engine stand I can buy/rent/borrow, or plans I could bring to a machine shop so I can have one made? My car has 102k miles and I might just start a teardown... -matt '85 euro 308 On Wed, May 27, 2009 at 5:38 PM, Michael James <cavallino_rapante [at] yahoo.com> wrote: > Well, I could talk about my impending 30K service, some technical data > regarding Cam Timing vs. Belt Wear, or locating what-used-to-be-common > Magneti Marelli components, but bitching about Obama seems to have consumed > the souls of several here, so I keep it to myself.... > > M > > --- On Wed, 5/27/09, Matt Boyd <ferrari308driver [at] gmail.com> wrote: > > From: Matt Boyd <ferrari308driver [at] gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [Ferrari] NFC: Here comes BO's 10 % US National Sales tax > To: "Michael" <Cavallino_Rapante [at] yahoo.com> > Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> > Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2009, 5:33 PM > > Boring..... > > Just sayin'.... > > -matt > '85 308 > > On Wed, May 27, 2009 at 5:31 PM, <cavallino_rapante [at] yahoo.com> wrote: >> >> Careful, Mike....many of our Neo-Con members think Bush was Jesus and >> could do no wrong.
