Yer on the mark Hans.308 brakes = Porsche 914 brakes? Sorta. The 308 rears are mechanically similar and mounted upside down as compared to the 914.
One difference is they have a spacer for the wider brake rotor. The similarity is they are touchy to replace the pads. Just remember to UNSCREW the clearance ratchet thingamajig (highly technical term) and DON'T press the old pads against the pistons to gain clearance. This action will corrupt the thingajig. After that - its pretty straight forward make sure you get final pad to rotor clearance with a feeler gauge.

I used them on a Lotus 7 clone that I was building. They work OK, I guess. The trick is the sealant that is clearly visible on the threads. If/when that sealant fails, they don't work much better than a standard bleed plug. Most (all?) of the 308 series used ATE brakes, which is the same as some Porsches. 914, I think, but don't take that as gospel. Hans. They seem to have all sorts of metric sizes, so I'd be willing to bet it's one of them. haven't been able to reach them yet. allan _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/flist%40hanshansen.org Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ <http://www.f1headlines.com/>_________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/dnt%40dock.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
