This car used to run in the Historic Races on the West Coast (late 90s,
early 2000s). I haven't seen it in a few years now. I don't know if
they've moved, sold or just retired the car. It was fun to look over and I
remember they were always working on it. It showed up looking great and was
an oily mess by the end of the weekend. One year we were pitted in the
garages at Sears and they were right across from us. They were wrenching
heavily and I went over to ask if they needed anything... they said no.
One of the guys came out from under the car covered in oil, quite pissed at
the car and calling it the ENZO VALDEZ!!!

Came across an interesting read re politics and the F-car.
Seems a factory prepared 308GT4 raced in 1974, retired
with clutch problem at 4 hours, while in 38th place.
2350# - 300hp [at] 8200rpm w/40gallons gas

1975 NART LM it qualified but politics caused it's removal.
Achieved top speed of 176 and course time of 4:33.
(current distance 8.5miles makes that 112 mph ave but I'm
not sure of the distance in 1974).

If you haven't been to LM, it's a car-nut must. I'm now just
finishing watching this years 24hrs TIVO'ed LM so it's on
my mind. 430's did us proud this year.
