My kick off movie was THE GREEN HELMET.Later, the best car movie was my 1955 Buick that I would take to the Century Drive In on a date. There I would watch any movie - - - well, at least start to watch the movie.

The film that has cost me thousands of my hard earned dollars and finally propelled me into my present Ferrari, after owning at least one, if not two Jaguars, Austin Healeys, Porsches, Lancia Scorpions, among various others, was?the movie?that I?saw as a youth?in 1955.'THE RACERS,' Staring Kirk Douglas, Gilbert Rowland,?and Bella Darvi. It got me hooked worse than a strung-out junkie on skid row, and I've never been the same since.?A decade later, the Her-Ex had a box at the Plaza de Toros in Tijuana and Douglas, Rowland, and some other Hollywood thrill-seekers had the adjoining box. Of course they brought some young 'starlets' down with them to help enjoy the spectacle. After mucho cervezas and a few shots, the lovely senoritas would loosen up a but, and if the young matador was handsome enough, the ring would be flooded with panties after a good kill.Ever the Latin gentleman, el matador would pick each one up, and after the normal sniff, throw?it back to it's owner with a big grin on his face.?Of course some would hit our box too. <g>Ach, the memories . . .Yer pal (living the good life at the beach in Huntington Harbour) Ferrari Bubba-----Original Message----- From: Michael Subject: Re: [Ferrari] 10 Best Car MoviesThe Hidden (on DVD - opening sequence with Shok Paris soundtrack is priceless)To Live and Die in LA Against All Odds ("Sunset Boulevard" ..."the Old Way") Gumball RallyCannonBall Run ("Those Two Priests are More GASSED-UP than that Ferrari!" - thereal Brock Yates) Gone in 60 Seconds (New One) Bullitt Le Mans Scent of a Woman Never Steal Anything Small - just watch it, if you can find a copy. ? Death Proof While I agree in general I don't like the order - I'd probably have put LeMans 1st and Gumball Rally 2nd, then Grand Prix, Ronin, and the rest. Never heard of Death Proof - anybody? Not a fan of Mad Max.... Missing notable is "A Man and A Woman." Now, I think I'll find my DVD of Gumball Rally and crank up the volume of the Cobra Vs. Daytona dueling, musical engines. ;-) LarryT Read the Constitution - It's Interesting! http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.overview.html _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit:http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/rgarven%40gmail.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/_________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/ferrarisimo%40comcast.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/cavallino_rapante%40yahoo.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/red5hilser%40aol.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/dnt%40dock.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
