I hope that the fact that you are "shopping" Ferraris means that the
recovery is going well. Stay with the physical therapy if necessary, I fell off

the wagon and am paying for it now.

Just a short note about Gullwing Motors. They buy (and openly state that on
their web site) and sell basket case cars. I can't speak to their Ferrari
inventory but in their marketing of other quasi-famous nameplate they
really do have cars at the low end as well as some that they describe as being
from the top end. One thing that seems to be a thread throughout their auto
sales is rust. Several folks I know looked at cars their and latent rust
was a deal killer in each case. If you think about buying it, either go, by
yourself and if you are not an expert on these cars maybe you can pull
Captain Clyde out of the cockpit if he stops at Kennedy or LaGuardia along
with
you or find another list member who resides near there to give it the
first inspection and then get a complete body, chassis and engine PPI before
putting any money up on the car, except perhaps for a refundable good faith
deposit.

Also remember that many of their cars end up in containers for export. Most
of the time the overseas buyer doesn't fly in to NYC to look at the car
and the first time they see it is when it is unloaded from the container.

Caveat emptor, but that goes for any transaction, cars, land, etc.

I came across this '88 TestaRossa in a "Classic Cars" Autotrader paper
showing a nice '88 TestaRossa with 24k miles with a price of $49K.
That's seems to be a low price for such a supercar. For the cost of a
tricked out SUV people could have a true Supercar. I know those are different
markets but still, what a deal!

Or maybe my understanding of the market prices of these classic Ferrari's
is overstated?

Later ya'll -
