Hello Michel -I have a 78 GTS. It had a broken, well, rather it skipped out of hand made slot (remember - they only made 2 or 3 cars a day) Guido snipped and punched out of some soft steel. Ergo, I sent away to England for a set. Bravo. Got a set. Now that set is still in a box. I have been meaning to transfer the parts. If I can get off my dead butt and do it (I got the parts years ago) you can have my take off. I hate trashing anything Ferrari. Let me know what you would like to do. If you want it, let me know.
Word of caution - treat those 8 mm Allen screws holding the seat to the frame with respect. If it is frozen and you bust loose the hidden captive nut - well son, you gonna play hide n seek under the car looking the egg-zack spot to bore a 2 inch hole to hold the sob.
Onward. DOUG(in the spirit of Ferrari Bubba who always gave more than he got - the head cheer leader from the then LA Rams told me how philanthropic he is).

1981 308 GTSi: I have a broken seat rack. The part that goes into the slots is missing a bit, as if it was cut. So the seat doesn't hold in place anymore. When I noticed that last year, I turned the seat over and saw that even the spring had been forced. It was "enlarged" at one end. I know a mechanic forced it. Don't forget that you pull up to send the part in the required slot and push down to free it. Or is it vice-versa ? Opposite of most cars, strangely enough. I guess the guy just forced it going the opposite way. It held in one slot for one year, but last week it broke for good. It's stored for the winter now.Anyway, I know the 2 seats can't be switched, but my question is: Can I switch the rack from the passenger seat to the driver's seat ? This way, I could fix the broken one in one slot permanently on the passenger side.If not,do they sell new ones ? I've never seen one for sale on Ebay or anywhere else.Michael Savard (Montreal, Canada) _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/dnt%40dock.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/
